Breaking News Thursday, April 11th, 2013: Banton Slams 5 Hits for Houston Today the Monarchs downed the Armadillos 10-7, but Sean Banton did his best to avoid that outcome as he lashed hits all over Old League Park in a 5-hit explosion, finishing with 5 hits in 6 at-bats. "I don't remember a better day batting, but it sure is disappointing to lose the game," the Houston left fielder said to BNN reporters in the postgame interview. "A win would have made the day much sweeter." Asked if he had a hitting philosophy, Banton said, "It makes it easier if you get a good pitch. The odds are in your favor then, not the pitcher's. I got a bunch of good pitches to hit today, and I didn't miss any of them." S. Banton grounded out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit an RBI double in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
