 | Saturday, June 1st, 2013: Marietta Starter Named SL1's Premier Pitcher Over the past month Juan Guzman has turned quite a few heads. He's young, talented and able to pitch with the established arms in the Sub League 1. He proved all that and now he's been named May's Pitcher of the Month. The rookie for the Marietta Mammoths posted 4-2 mark and a 1.93 ERA. In 6 starts he tossed 46.2 innings, permitted 43 hits and fanned 20 batters. So far this year Guzman has 8 wins and 4 losses and a 2.33 ERA. |
