According to the voters, Francis Berlin of the Kihei Keikis had the best week of all Sub League 2 hitters as he was named this week's Player of the Week.
The first baseman's accomplishments include 10 hits in 23 at-bats, a .435 batting average, no home runs, 6 RBIs and 5 runs scored.
This season Berlin is hitting .317 with 1 home run. |

José Randín went on a week-long hitting spree against Sub League 1 pitchers and captured the Player of the Week honors.
The Buffalo first baseman battered the opposition for 10 hits, 1 home run, 9 runs batted in and scored 5 runs. He hit .435 and posted a .480 on-base percentage.
This season Randín is hitting .317 with 45 hits, 3 home runs, 21 RBIs, scored 17 runs and played in 38 games. |

At Surf Ballpark today Marietta dropped a 1-0 decision to David Funchess and the Kent Kings. The Mammoths offered little resistance to Funchess, who stopped them on 1 hit, fanned 5 and walked 2.
So far in 9 starts this season, Funchess has recorded 4 wins and sustained 3 losses. He has pitched 58.1 innings, yielded 57 hits, fanned 30 and has a 3.55 ERA. |
