 | Saturday, June 1st, 2013: Thompson Top SL2 Starter in May Last month's cream of the crop on the mound was Michael Thompson of the Avon Gold Sox. He captured the Sub League 2 Pitcher of the Month award for his outstanding performance in May. Thompson started 6 games, threw 41.1 innings, yielded 23 hits and logged a 3-1 record. He put down 39 batters on strikes, walked 13 and compiled a 1.52 ERA. Opposing teams batted .158 against him. This season Thompson has registered 4 wins and 2 losses in 11 starts with a 2.09 ERA. |
