 | Saturday, June 8th, 2013: Ewalt Slams 5 Hits for Buffalo 5 hits in a game doesn't happen every day. Buffalo's Brandon Ewalt had a very special day against the Rocklands when everything came together for him and he did just that -- collected 5 hits in 6 at-bats -- and led the Buffalo Ironsides to a 11-0 win at Ironsides Stadium. "I'm just out there to try and help the team win," Ewalt said after the game, "I had some real good at-bats today. I made good, solid contact and luckily no one caught 'em." B. Ewalt singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off G. Earles in the 7th, hit an RBI single in the 8th and doubled in the 9th. Ewalt is batting .326 this season in 57 games with 1 home run, 24 RBIs and 20 runs scored. He has 78 hits in 239 at-bats. |
