Preston Giorgi has the tools to stick in this league for many years. The 24-year-old first baseman of the Buffalo Ironsides had a pretty fair bat in the Sub League 1 over the past seven days and won the Player of the Week honors.
Giorgi batted .500 with 9 hits in 18 at-bats, 3 home runs and 5 RBIs.
Hitting .316 to date, Giorgi has 8 home runs and 21 RBIs. He has played in 25 games.

 | Monday, July 8th, 2013: Ironsides Ferguson Silences Kent
"I felt great out there. After the second or third inning, I got real comfortable," Jacob Ferguson said in his postgame interview. "Hopefully this is a building block for me. I'm hoping for a few more starts like this."
The Buffalo hurler scored a 2-0 shutout victory over the Kings, stopping them on 6 hits. He rung up 2 strikeouts and gave up 3 walks in today's performance.
Checking out his stats for the season, Ferguson has notched 2 wins and 14 losses in 18 starts, 5.50 ERA and struck out 25 batters in 109.2 innings.

Preston Giorgi demonstrated his potential to be a star in the game last week and today he took home the Sub League 1 Player of the Week Award.
The Buffalo first baseman wreaked havoc on opposing pitchers last week, pounding them for a .346 average (9-26) with 3 home runs and 12 RBIs on his way to claiming the honor.
This season Giorgi is hitting .321 with 3 home runs.
