It is unknown at this time if there is any truth to the rumor that Pukalani's David Rivard has asked his team for a trade. Insiders indicate the left fielder may not be happy with the club management. So far, the team's owners have refused to comment. |
| Monday, May 5th, 2014: Perez of Pukalani Player of the Week
24-year-old Oscar Perez sent shock waves through SDMB Triple A last week with an eye-popping performance that brought him the Sub League 2 Player of the Week Award.
A newcomer to the league, Perez made the establishment sit up and take notice, punishing opposing pitchers with a .500 average, 12 hits in 24 at-bats, no home runs and 6 RBI.
Where the Pukalani Paniolos shortstop goes from here, only the baseball gods know for sure, but Perez certainly made his mark last week.
Perez is batting .373 this season in 22 games with 1 home run, 9 RBIs and 13 runs scored. He has 31 hits in 83 at-bats. |

Some sources in Pukalani are reporting that Albert Chavez is having second thoughts about playing there. Rumor has it, the 35-year-old Paniolos right fielder has asked to be traded to a team closer to his home.
