| Breaking News |  | Monday, May 5th, 2014: Joe Unknown Hurt, Will Miss Rest of Year
Joe Unknown has to call it a season. The Mississagua Free Agents first baseman sustained a season-ending injury against the Kensington Wolfpack and will not play again this year according to club doctors. Unknown was injured while making a defensive play. His doctors diagnosed it as a fractured elbow and stated that he would not be able to play for 7 months.

| Monday, April 14th, 2014: Super Week for Mississagua's Ortega!
24-year-old Raul Ortega made a few Mississagua headlines during this past week as the rookie right fielder proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Sub League 2 officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort.
He cracked 14 hits in 31 at-bats to put up a .452 average. Ortega collected 4 home runs, 9 RBIs and scored 8 runs.

| Thursday, August 8th, 2013: Gabrielson Fashions Shutout Against Beulaville
Larry Gabrielson kept the Miners from doing any damage to the Free Agents today at Ballpark of Thorndale. Beulaville's 4 hits and 4 walks came to naught as Mississagua took the contest 8-0. Gabrielson added 4 strikeouts in his complete-game effort.
This season Gabrielson has compiled a 10-10 mark, 3.97 ERA and made 25 starts.
