Monday, April 15th, 2013: Zotti League's Best Batter Announced
Mohammad Stelly demonstrated his potential to be a star in the game last week and today he took home the Zotti League Player of the Week Award.

The New York center fielder wreaked havoc on opposing pitchers last week, pounding them for a .577 average (15-26) with 1 home run and 11 RBIs on his way to claiming the honor.

Sunday, April 14th, 2013: New York Loses Turek, Will Miss Season
Bill Turek has to call it a season. The New York Gothams second baseman sustained a season-ending injury against the Los Angeles Scorpions and will not play again this year according to club doctors. Turek was injured while throwing the ball. His doctors diagnosed it as a ruptured disc and stated that he would not be able to play for 12-13 months.

This year Turek has batted at a .289 pace with 13 hits, 1 home run, 4 RBIs and scored 5 times.

Wednesday, April 10th, 2013: Mcgreevy Tosses Shutout Against Dans
Bradford Mcgreevy of the New York Gothams was on fire against Danville. He shut them down 8-0 on 5 hits and no runs with 2 strikeouts and 2 walks.

"The first two pitches I'm looking for an out, a ground ball or a fly ball," Mcgreevy said. "I'm trying to get quick outs. I've never been a big believer in trying to strike a guy out from the very first pitch. It's too easy to end up behind in the count doing that."
