Saturday, May 3rd, 2014: Trade Mill: Mccrady Unhappy
It appears to be only a rumor, but earlier today, fans around Arizona Bay were buzzing with the news that their 33-year-old shortstop David Mccrady had been asking for a trade. "I couldn't imagine him saying bad things about Arizona Bay or wanting to leave." said one person.
Thursday, May 1st, 2014: Tacoma Shut out by Aponte
Jorge Aponte was stingy with runs in his latest outing against the Titans. He shut them out 4-0 on 3 hits with 4 strikeouts and 1 walk.

The Arizona Bay manager said, "Jorge was very aggressive tonight. He threw everything he had with a lot of confidence."

The losing manager had praise, too. "He was throwing strikes with all his pitches and mixing it up well. Aponte has a sneaky fastball, and whatever that offspeed pitch was, it was keeping our timing off."

This year Aponte has compiled a 6-1 mark with a 1.90 ERA in 7 starts.
Thursday, May 1st, 2014: SL1 Choice for Batter of the Month is Davila
Hector Davila battered Sub League 1 pitchers all April and wound up taking home the Batter of the Month Award.

"I've been around SDMB Triple A long enough to know you really have to work hard day in and day out to be able to put up this kind of consistency," the 27-year-old Davila told reporters. "I put in a lot of work, even on the days I may not take the field and it's always nice when everything comes together for me like it did this last month."

In 28 games, Davila hit .340 with 5 home runs, 20 RBIs and scored 17 runs.
