| Breaking News | | Monday, May 5th, 2014: Maloney Guns Down Regina Roland Maloney was downright nasty in pitching a 4-0 shutout against Regina. His splitter was diving, his slider was breaking and the Monologues were swinging and looking bad. In the solid 4-hit shutout the Titans hurler chalked up 6 strikeouts and 1 walk in a strong outing.
"As the game went on, he got stronger," his manager said. "I thought he really turned it up a notch in the eighth and ninth and probably threw his best breaking balls in those two innings. They put a lot of balls in play early in the count because he was throwing strikes."
So far this season Maloney has 4 wins and 2 losses and a 3.18 ERA. | | Sunday, April 13th, 2014: Mitchell at His Best, Whips Monologues Mexico City rode the magical arm of Glen Mitchell in a 5-0 shutout win over Regina. He shackled them on 4 hits and fanned 6. Almost to a man, the Regina Monologues said he had them guessing wrong all game long.
| | Tuesday, August 6th, 2013: Monologues Pitching Ravaged by Harder There are moments in a player's career that are etched into their memories forever. Malik Harder of the Cincinnati Juggernaut had one of those moments when he went 5 for 5 at the plate today in the 15-7 win over the Regina Monologues at Juggernaut Ballpark.
The 23-year-old second baseman told reporters in the postgame interview, "This is a day I won't forget soon, but I'll settle to just get a hit or two every day... enough hits to hang around the league a little bit longer... like 10... 15 more years maybe."
M. Harder singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, hit a three-run double in the 6th, singled in the 8th and hit an RBI double in the 9th.
This year Harder is hitting .303, produced 31 RBIs and 4 home runs, scored 33 times and gotten on base at a .345 rate. | | | | Team Information | | Record overall | 11-30, .268 PCT | | Position in Division | 6th, 14.0 GB | | Record at home | 6-14, .300 PCT | | Record on the road | 5-16, .238 PCT | | Record in X-inning games | 0-0, .000 PCT | | Record in one-run games | 3-3, .500 PCT | | Record versus LHP | 3-9, .250 PCT | | Record versus RHP | 8-21, .276 PCT | | Record last 10 games | 1-9, .100 PCT | | Record in April | 9-19, .321 PCT | | Record in May | 2-11, .154 PCT |
