| Breaking News | | Friday, August 2nd, 2013: Guzman Magnificent in Quincy Win "Sometimes I was smart... and sometimes just a little lucky." That's how Juan Guzman of the Akron Beacons described his shutout victory over the Quincy Gems. Guzman blanked them 4-0 on 6 hits while striking out 5 and walking 4.
Guzman has made 10 starts this season, posting 2 wins and 7 losses. Opposing clubs are batting .290 against him and he has 16 strikeouts in 54 innings with a 6.33 ERA. | | Wednesday, July 31st, 2013: Gems McColl to Miss Year The season is apparently over for Scott McColl.
