| Breaking News |  | Sunday, May 11th, 2014: Pineda at His Best, Whips Scorpions Ferdinand Pineda came out firing strikes and when the game ended, the Dans hurler had struck out 7 in leading Danville over the Los Angeles Scorpions 12-0. Pineda allowed just 3 hits in the ballgame.

He blanked them 1-0 on 6 hits, registering 5 strikeouts and 3 walks.
"Making good pitches is the name of the game and I made some good ones in this one," said Nelligan after the game.
In 9 starts this year Nelligan has crafted a 4-2 record and a 2.56 ERA. |  | Monday, April 14th, 2014: Smith 5-7 for Walla Walla Fred Smith really did a number on the Dans in the Walla Walla 5-4 victory. Not just anyone can get 5 hits in 7 at-bats. But Fred Smith did just that today for the Federal Duck and gave his batting average a healthy boost and sparked his club in the win.
"I felt real good in the batter's box today. I had confidence in my swing and knew that it was there and that I could get the job done," the 29-year-old shortstop said after his record-setting performance.
