| Breaking News | | Thursday, August 1st, 2013: Sorensen SL1's #1 Pitcher in July
Any time a rookie makes a splash on the scene, it's got to be great for his career potential. Just ask Rocco Sorensen, who put together a stellar month out of the pen. The Tisdale Prarie Sox reliever, 22, kept the opposition off balance all month as he held them to a .238 average and walked away with the Sub League 1 Pitcher of the Month award for July.
Sorensen posted a 0-0 mark and a 2.45 ERA in 11 relief appearances. In 11 innings, he stacked up 11 saves, 5 strikeouts and 2 walks.
This year Sorensen has 30 saves in 40 relief appearances with a 1-4 record and 2.92 ERA.

| Monday, July 8th, 2013: Hot Bat Wins SL1 Player of the Week Honors
21-year-old Carroll Fix made a few Tisdale headlines during this past week as the rookie center fielder proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Sub League 1 officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort.
He cracked 13 hits in 29 at-bats to put up a .448 average. Fix collected no home runs, 5 RBIs and scored 5 runs.
This season Fix is hitting .245 with 2 home runs.

 | Thursday, June 27th, 2013: Joe Unknown Out for Season
The news is bad in Tisdale. The Prarie Sox have lost the services of starting pitcher Joe Unknown for the rest of the season due to bone chips in his elbow. Unknown was injured in a recent game with the Marietta Mammoths while throwing a pitch and is expected to miss 7 months.
