Joshua Giddings took a much-deserved turn in the spotlight earlier today as he accepted the Zotti League Pitcher of the Month award for April.
The 23-year-old Gothams starter is a relative newcomer to the league, but nonetheless racked up an impressive 5-0 won-lost record in 6 starts. He has fanned 43 batters in 45.1 innings and sports a 3.57 ERA.

 | Tuesday, April 15th, 2014: Campion Belts 5 Hits
It's not something you read about in the sports pages every day -- a 5-for-5 day. It may only come around once in a career -- a lot of players never have one -- but Richard Campion got one today. He scattered hits all over Old League Park to pace New York to a 12-1 victory over Cleveland.
The Cleveland skipper told reporters in the press room, "Tip your hat to him. He hit some good pitches. According to the scouting report, Campion hit several that he is not supposed to hit."
R. Campion singled in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit a two-run double in the 5th, hit an RBI double in the 6th and walked in the 8th.
So far this year Campion is batting .385 with 1 home run.
